2019 Uncirculated One dollar Coin Centenary Of Flight 1919
In 1919 the Australian Government offered 10,000 pound to the 1st Australian to fly from England to Australia. Captain Ross Smith took up the Challenge. Flying the Vickers twin engine Vimy along with his brother Keith Smith Assistant Pilot Mechanics Walter Shiers and James Bennett the flight was completed in 28 days
